Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – Houseboat Stay & Shikara Ride
Arrival at Srinagar Airport. Meet our representative and transfer to a traditional deluxe houseboat on Dal Lake or Nigeen Lake. In the evening, enjoy a romantic Shikara ride on the calm waters. Relax and absorb the peaceful atmosphere. Overnight stay in a houseboat.
Day 2: Srinagar Local Sightseeing
After breakfast on the houseboat, begin sightseeing. Visit the famous Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Explore the Hazratbal Shrine and Shankaracharya Temple for panoramic views of Srinagar. Later, return to your houseboat for a peaceful evening and a traditional Kashmiri dinner, and spend the night in the houseboat.
Day 3: Day Trip to Gulmarg
After early breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, the “Meadow of Flowers” (2 hrs). Enjoy the Gondola cable car ride up to Apharwat Peak (optional) for snow views and scenic landscapes. Walk through the meadows and enjoy local food. Return to Srinagar by evening. Overnight stay in a houseboat.
Day 4: Day Trip to Sonmarg
After breakfast, head for a full-day trip to Sonmarg, known as the “Meadow of Gold” (2.5 hrs). You may take a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier or walk along the Sindh River. Capture unforgettable mountain views. Return by evening to Srinagar. Overnight stay in a houseboat.
Day 5: Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey, filled with memories of your peaceful Kashmiri stay on the lake.
