Important Information
Know before you go
- Group size: Maximum 10 travellers. The trip is confirmed once enough travellers have booked.
- This is a real trek. Hampta Pass has long walking days, river crossings, and high-altitude sections, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed.
- Hampta Pass and Chandratal are open only in summer, roughly June to September, so departure dates are planned within this window.
- The route, campsite, and Chandratal access may change because of weather, landslides, or road closures. Safety comes before the itinerary.
- Please report headaches, dizziness, nausea, or breathing difficulty to the trek leader immediately.
- Please arrive in Delhi one day before the start date. Travellers are introduced online before the trip, and the same flights can be arranged where possible.
- This journey is fully customizable. You can add or remove activities, extend your stay, or upgrade your hotels and vehicle as per your requirements, and the final price will be adjusted accordingly (up or down). If we don’t reach a full group of 10 travellers, we can still run the journey with a smaller group, and the per-person price may vary slightly depending on the final group size.
Frequently Asked Questions.
Is the FOUNDING 10 Himalayan Trek suitable if I'm travelling alone and don't know anyone?
Yes, this small group Himalayan trek is designed for travellers who join alone. You trek with up to 10 people, guided by professional trek leaders with a support team. Everyone is introduced online before the trip, so you already know your group before you land in India.
How difficult is the Hampta Pass trek, and do I need trekking experience?
The Hampta Pass section is a moderate trek with long walking days, river crossings, and one demanding high-altitude day. You don’t need prior trekking experience, but you should be comfortable walking for several hours a day. The Triund trek at the start also helps the group warm up and adjust to the altitude.
What is included in this Himalayan trek package?
The package includes hotel stays and camping, bus tickets between Delhi and the mountains, private transfers, trek guides, permits, tents, sleeping bags, camp meals, and group activities. Flights, insurance, and personal gear are not included, and we can help you arrange flights if you wish.
Do I need to travel with someone I know to join this tour?
No. Most travelers on this journey arrive without knowing anyone else in the group. Before the trip begins, we introduce everyone to each other online, so the group already has a sense of who they’ll be traveling with. Wherever possible, we also try to arrange the same flights for group members, so many travelers actually meet for the first time before even landing in India.
