Shiv was a fantastic tour guide, very friendly, and was very knowledgeable about Delhi. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who wants to see the sights in Delhi, without the stress of navigating the streets alone.

Itinerary

DAY 01: New Delhi – Srinagar Airport – Sonamarg

Take an early morning flight from New Delhi to Srinagar. On arrival, our representative will greet you and guide you to Sonamarg, about a 3-hour scenic drive. First, visit the biometric registration center in Srinagar for Amarnath Yatra. Then continue to Sonamarg and check in at your hotel. Take rest and acclimatize to the altitude before your sacred pilgrimage. In the evening, enjoy local sightseeing in Sonamarg (time permitting). Overnight stay in Sonamarg.

DAY 02: Sonamarg – Baltal – Amarnath – Sonamarg

After an early breakfast, drive to the Baltal helipad (about 30 minutes). Board your pre-booked helicopter to Panchtarni or near Amarnath Cave. The helipad is located 1 km from the cave; from there you may walk, hire a pony, or use a palki (at your own cost). After reaching the cave, receive darshan and blessings of the self-formed ice (“Snow Shiva-Lingam”) at the Amarnath Cave. Return by helicopter to Baltal, then drive back to Sonamarg. Overnight stay at Sonamarg hotel.

Day 03: Sonamarg – Srinagar

Enjoy breakfast and head back to Srinagar. On the way, visit the sacred Kheer Bhawani Temple, located near Tulmulla village—about 25 km from the city—set over a spring that is believed to change color with divine significance. Later, explore popular Srinagar attractions such as Dal Lake, Chashme Shahi Garden, Pari Mahal, Shankaracharya Temple, and Mughal Gardens. Overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.

Day 04: Srinagar – Airport Drop

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your flight back to Delhi. On arrival in New Delhi, our representative will assist you with onward travel arrangements or airport/railway station drop-off. Your spiritual journey concludes with warm memories of a blessed pilgrimage.

Complete description

The Amarnath Yatra is a revered Hindu pilgrimage to the holy Amarnath Cave, nestled at 3,888 m in the Himalayas. Pilgrims undertake one of two routes: the scenic older Pahalgam trail spanning 36–48 km over multiple days, or the shorter Baltal route of about 14 km with steeper ascent. Upon reaching the cave, devotees witness the naturally formed ice Shivling, believed to be Lord Shiva’s presence and central to the pilgrimage tradition. Biometric registration and permit are mandatory, and helicopter service from Baltal to Panchtarni offers optional ease for pilgrims. The journey symbolizes devotion and faith, set against breathtaking Himalayan landscapes and supported by robust safety and medical arrangements.
